We believe that to truly address the injustices Black women face, we must confront the systems that make both Blackness and womanhood unsafe. Grounded in intersectionality, equity, and justice, our work moves beyond empowerment. It’s about survival, dignity, and liberation. We understand that the experiences of Black women cannot be separated from the overlapping realities of race, gender, sexuality, class, and other intersecting social identities. At Oshun’s Garden, we create spaces where the full complexity of Black womanhood is not only acknowledged, but honored. Through advocacy, healing, and community building, we work to reclaim what has been stolen — safety, joy, and the right to live fully and freely.
