About the Brunch

About the Brunch

A Brunch in Oshun’s Garden is the flagship event of Oshun's Garden, Inc. and was created to give Black women on Maryland's Eastern Shore a space to show up authentically, name the issues affecting us most, and celebrate our collective power. The event has been a massive success due to both its need and its creativity, especially since similar opportunities are hardly in reach for women living in rural areas.

Each year the event welcomes and affirms 200+ Black women of all ages, sexualities, spiritual practices, income levels, abilities, and more to fellowship and share in each other's magic. While we make space for the heavy topics, we do our best to lead with joy and care, in the ways that only we can.

LEARN MORE ABOUT OUR ORGANIZATION

After the program, we leave time for shopping with our Black woman-owned marketplace. This segment also leaves room for dancing, more networking, and hands-on activities that you'll have to wait and see. (:

The Vendor Soirée

The main event mirrors a traditional conference, featuring a catered brunch, speakers, networking, and giveaways, yet it is set apart by its vibrancy. Through cultural expression, live performances, and movement, this brunch experience is unapologetically high-energy and immersive.
